  • Calf Stretch

Standing with your feet shoulder-width apart, place your hands on a wall or chair.  Then, while keeping your heels flat on the ground and your knees straight, lean into the wall or chair.  This stretch can relieve foot, shin, hip, and knee pain and can also help you protect you Achilles tendon from injury.

  • Shoulder Stretch

Standing with your feet shoulder-width apart, raise your right arm to shoulder height and move it across the front of your body.  With your left arm, pull your right arm as close to your chest as possible and hold it there.  Switch arms and repeat.  As the shoulder is one of the most delicate joints in the body, this stretch will help you improve its flexibility and mobility.

  • Triceps Stretch

Standing with your feet shoulder-width apart, raise your right arm over your head.  Bend your elbow so that your right hand is reaching for your left shoulder.  Use your left hand to pull back on your right elbow.  Hold then switch arms.  While the triceps are a small muscle group, they help support the shoulders and biceps.  Maintaining mobility and flexibility of your triceps will help you avoid injury and increase your athletic longevity.
